Zero Maintenance House
|LOCATION||Banora Point East, NSW|
As the name says, this amazing house was designed to be a zero maintenance space. The clients didn’t want any materials that required future painting or replacement.
Reflecting the industrial materials and geometric look from the facade, the Interior Design Moodboard was composed of concrete, corten steel, brass, calacatta marble, blacks and beiges, and natural fibres.
As one of the owners is an artist, the general tones of the rooms should follow a neutral palette, allowing them to receive her beautiful artwork pieces.
The ceiling all over the house is lime-washed plywood, and the general walls are made out of a composite board which looks and feels like post-formed concrete.
The outcome was an elegant mix between industrial and contemporary styles, full of personality and touches of classic elements.
